How it works
-
Step 1
Measure the site
Use the measuring tool in Google Maps or Google Earth for the lot, then add walkways and steps. You can give a first price without a site visit.
-
Step 2
Use your own rates
Pick your equipment and set your hourly rate and salt costs. The calculator turns time on site into a price per push, per event and per season.
-
Step 3
Send a professional quote
Download a clean PDF with your logo, pricing options and signature lines, plus a seasonal service agreement. Email or text it straight from your phone.
How the prices are calculated
No black box. Every number comes from inputs you can see and change, so you can explain your price to a client and adjust it to your market.
- Per push
- Time to plow the lot at your equipment's production rate, plus walkway and step clearing, plus travel and setup, at your hourly rates. Never below your minimum charge.
- De-icing
- Pounds of salt or ice melt for the area at your material cost plus markup, plus spreading time.
- Per event
- Plowing and de-icing in one trip, with one setup charge.
- Seasonal
- Your expected pushes and de-icing visits in a typical winter, plus a risk premium for a heavy one, split into monthly installments.

Questions
How much should I charge to plow a parking lot?
Start from what your truck or loader and crew cost per hour, including fuel, insurance, wear and profit. The calculator works out how long the lot takes to clear at your equipment's production rate, adds walkways, steps and travel, and prices that time. Rates vary a lot by region, so compare the result with what you know about your local market.
Per push or seasonal contract: which should I offer?
A seasonal contract gives you steady income and gives the client a fixed budget, but you carry the risk of a snowy winter. That is why the calculator adds a risk premium. Per-push pricing follows the weather. Many contractors offer both and let the client choose, and your quote can show the options side by side.
How do I measure a lot without a site visit?
In Google Maps on a computer, right-click the map, choose Measure distance and click along the edges. Google Earth can measure area directly. Enter each section as length × width. If you already know the square footage, enter it as the length with a width of 1. Confirm on site before the first storm.
How much salt should I put down?
It depends on the product, the pavement temperature and the conditions. The default rates are only a starting point, so change them to what you actually use. Many regions publish smart-salting guidance that helps you get the same results with less salt.
Is the service agreement legally binding?
It is a plain-English template covering the usual terms: scope, trigger depth, pricing, payment, client responsibilities, damage reporting, heavy storms and cancellation. It is not legal advice, and contract rules vary by state and province, so have a lawyer review it before you rely on it, especially for large commercial accounts.
Do I need an account? Where is my data stored?
No account. Everything you type stays in this browser on your device. We never see your clients or your prices. After you buy Pro, your license key unlocks the tool on your other devices.
How does the PDF download work on a phone?
Download PDF opens your phone's print screen. On iPhone, tap the Share button on that screen to save the PDF to Files or send it by email or text. On Android, choose Save as PDF as the printer.
